F-4J (#158364 & #158379) Phantom II Crash Site at Coso Range

Summery :

On June 26th 1972, two USN McDonnell Douglas F-4Js (#158364 & #158379) Phantom II from VF-154 "Black Knightsh collided over the Coso Range while on training flight.
The left wing of #158364 sliced off #158379 tail section. Both of those section fell off near the collision point.
The main fuselarge of #158379 crashed on the ground about a mile from the collision point while the #158364 flew another mile and crashed on the hill side.
All four crew members managed to eject, but #158379fs radar intercept officer LTJG C. Jack Winstead was killed.
